GreenWest PtX has successfully completed participation in the first wave of the Project Development Assistance (PDA) programme, a key initiative of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership’s Hydrogen Valleys Facility designed to support the development of hydrogen projects across Europe.
The PDA support focused on several key areas, including the development of a green H2 project with storage, scaling from 50 MW (1st phase) to 500 MW (full build-out), powered by onsite solar and wind energy. The programme also provided in-depth H2 market analysis, competitiveness assessment, a DEVEX financing strategy, refinement of the business plan and preparation of investor materials.
The programme represented an important milestone for the project, helping strengthen its commercial foundations and providing a clearer pathway towards financing and implementation.
«The assessment delivered under the PDA Plus programme represented an important milestone for GreenWest PtX. Beyond supporting the project's progression towards financing & implementation, it confirmed that Ukraine possesses the necessary conditions to become a competitive and reliable partner for the EU in the production and supply of renewable hydrogen and its derivatives», — said Viacheslav Luchnykov, CEO of UDPR Hydrogen.
The PDA support also reinforced the project's competitiveness and investment readiness, supporting ongoing engagement with investors and financing partners.
«We are closing our first funding round at Hydrogen Partners / GreenWest PtX, backed by Europe’s most competitive landed green hydrogen cost by pipeline into Europe. The PDA Plus competitive analysis confirmed the cost story», — said Rafael Loehrer, Co-Founder of Hydrogen Partners.
The knowledge, analysis, and strategic recommendations developed through the PDA programme will support the next stages of GreenWest PtX as the project advances towards financing, implementation and future renewable hydrogen supply to European markets.
