UDP Renewables launched “Terslav” PV PP with a capacity of 20 MW

The new PV PP is capable to provide energy for almost 9,000 households and prevents the emission of 30 thousand tons of carbon dioxide per year

May 06, 2020. — UDP Renewables, whose strategic investor is UFuture, commissions a new PV PP “Terslav” in the Obukhiv village council of the Dnipro region of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with €15.5 million of investments.

Ukraine should think strategically, mitigate risks and switch to green generation using modern technologies. The new power plant is our contribution to the development of the country’s renewable energy industry,” noted Vasyl Khmelnytsky, founder of UFuture.

“Terslav” PV PP with a peak capacity of 20 MW covers an area of 28 hectares and is equipped with more than 91,000 Longi Solar solar panels. The station generates almost 23,275 MW/h per year. This is enough to provide electricity for about 9,000 households.

“UDP Renewables launches “Terslav” PV PP at a difficult time for the industry. Businesses will have to pass one more test, working in conditions of the severe liquidity crisis. During of commissioning this facility, the company traditionally cooperated with Ukrainian manufacturers, the cost of services of which in this project is 180 million UAH. In the process of the construction and operation of the power plant at different stages more than 160 jobs were created,” noted managing partner of UDP Renewables Sergiy Yevtushenko.

The launch of “Terslav” PV PP will prevent the emission of 30 thousand tons of carbon dioxide per year into the atmosphere. Helios Strategia is the general contractor for the construction, and Oschadbank is the financial partner.
